Alexia
Alexia Ring - Consultant ADHD Coach
Professional Experience
Alexia is an experienced ADHD and AuDHD coach with specialist training in family, child and teen coaching. She works with adults, young adults and children aged 10 and above, offering sessions in person, online, and within a leading London secondary school.
By exploring a child’s presenting challenges and connecting them to Executive Function—the brain’s “control centre”—Alexia helps both the child and their family gain a clearer understanding of how their unique brain works. As self-awareness grows, children become more able to appreciate their strengths and identify areas that may need support. This encourages them to develop practical strategies that help them overcome obstacles and make the most of their abilities. Alexia supports children with a wide range of behavioural, academic and social challenges.
Many young people with ADHD can feel resistant to guidance, particularly from parents. Coaching provides a collaborative, non-judgmental space where the child is encouraged to generate their own ideas and solutions. Sessions may begin with hands-on support before gradually shifting toward a scaffolding approach, helping families understand how to reinforce progress at home. Each coaching journey is personalised to the child’s needs and pace.
Coaching can be a powerful and validating process, offering understanding, practical tools and lasting confidence.
Personal Approach
I have ADHD myself, as do two of my children. My lived experience—both as an ADHDer and as a parent—deeply informs my coaching approach and helps me connect with families on a genuine and empathetic level.
