Professional Experience

Ali is a speech and language therapist with over 20 years’ experience working for an autism assessment service within the NHS.  The last six of these have been as the Clinical Lead for a multi-disciplinary NHS autism assessment service in North London.

Ali is trained in all aspects of autism assessment, including ADOS-2 and ADI-R autism assessment tools.  Above all, she values listening to children and their families’ journey and experiences and working together in a neuroaffirmative way to explore the strengths and differences that each young person brings and identifying any support needed.

Ali has a particular interest in Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA), Autistic Burnout, and Emotional Based School Avoidance (EBSA) and has done additional training by the PDA society.

More about me

I am a mum to two neurodivergent teenagers. One who is AUDHD and PDA and currently in autistic burnout. I have experience with NHS and private support for my boys and understand the importance of kindness, compassion and a holistic approach.
